What matters most to you?

Values are the things that matter most to you. They guide how you want to act, treat yourself and others, and show up in the world — not what you want to achieve or own, but how you want to live and who you want to be.

There are no right or wrong values. It's a bit like choosing a hobby: one person loves team sport because they value connection, another paints because they value creativity and calm. Neither is more correct — they simply reflect what matters to each person.

Knowing what matters most helps you align your work and life with your values, so things feel more meaningful and satisfying.

A focused set of the most universal values.

Now, how do you live them?

Values aren't goals to tick off — they're directions you keep moving in. The point isn't to have these values, it's to act on them, again and again.

  • Pick one value and name a small thing you could do this week guided by it.
  • Notice where your days already reflect these values — and where they pull away.
  • When a choice feels hard, ask: which option moves me toward these five?
  • Revisit in a month. What matters most can shift as life does.
